Brigid Flaherty is the Organizing Director of ALIGN. She also manages the citywide Transform Don’t Trash campaign. She comes to ALIGN from Pushback Network, of which she was the Executive Director. For six years, she functioned as the Program Associate, Fundraising and Communications Director and then the Executive Director of PBN where she drove the organizational and resource development efforts, taking lead roles in strategic planning, alliance building, and fund raising. Before her work at Pushback Network, she served as the Lead Organizer for the Mount Sinai Sexual Assault and Violence Intervention (SAVI) Program where she brought her knowledge of community organizing, fundraising and organizational development to build a strong program that built bottom-up power for marginalized communities. Woven throughout her work is the desire to bring people together to organize, advocate, and create solutions to injustice. Brigid graduated with a Master’s Degree from New York University in Gender Studies.
