ALIGN believes environmental justice and worker health, combined with economic justice, can address the sometimes conflicting issues of jobs and the environment. Good jobs protect against workplace and environmental hazards, and provide the conditions that allow for individual and community health. ALIGN works in solidarity with environmental justice organizations. We define environmental justice as the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race, color, national origin, or income with respect to the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations, and policies.
