Tuesday’s Senate Finance Committee Hearing on tax reform included testimony from a dozen groups. But only those invited to testify were allowed to participate. And that has some advocates arguing that the we need a bigger, more transparent conversation about the tax code in New York. Ron Deutsch of New Yorkers for Fiscal Fairness, John Whiteley of the state Property Tax Reform Coalition, and Josh Kellermann of the Alliance for a Greater New York share their opinions on what else needs to be done.
