On Thursday, February 13th 2025, New York City Mayoral candidates Michael Blake, Jessica Ramos, and Zohran Mamdani joined 200+ New Yorkers at the Affordability for All Mayoral Forum to discuss their plans to tackle the rising cost of living for residents and how they would improve the lives of working families across New York.
Moderated by Annie McDonough, Senior City Hall reporter at City & State New York, the forum gave candidates the opportunity to address key issues facing residents, including rising housing costs, unaffordable child care, and stagnant wages, all of which have played a role in forcing middle- and working-class New Yorkers out of the city.
After the forum, we surveyed attendees to rank the candidates’ plans to make NYC more affordable. We also asked the attendees how well the candidates addressed specific issues. You can see the results below:
