Jenille Scott has focused her entire career on climate justice and growing awareness of climate issues in Black and brown communities. At ALIGN, an alliance of labor and community organizations promoting environmental equity, Scott leads the organization’s climate and environmental portfolio, which includes various campaigns rooted in climate justice. Scott leads the Transform Don’t Trash NYC campaign, which helped build support for New York City’s 2019 commercial waste zone law. She is now pushing for fully sustainable school buildings in New York City.
