Julia Corrado’s passion for the environment led her to join ALIGN last year after working on clean energy initiatives at the top lobbying firm Kasirer and for the Billion Oyster Project. In the last year, the Pace University graduate helped the New York City Department of Sanitation and the Brooklyn borough president’s office establish commercial waste zones to reform the private carting industry and reduce emissions. And she worked with New York City Council Member Alexa Avilés to regulate last-mile warehouses by advancing a bill to reduce emissions of idling trucks.
