Expanding Access to Home Care Services for NYC’s Low-Income Seniors
The Expanded In-Home Services for the Elderly Program (EISEP), a critical program that provides home care services to low-income seniors who cannot afford home care services, has been underfunded in the City’s Fiscal Year 2015 Preliminary Budget. In choosing to invest more adequately in cost-effective EISEP home care services, NYC can be an example to cities the nation looking for innovative ways to support seniors, their families and care workers.
