The Alliance for a Just Rebuilding, an alliance of community, labor, faith and environmental justice organizations, released a statement outlining recommendations for rebuilding the city and state post-Sandy in a way that serves all of its residents. In the statement, Alliance members recommend that New York City and State follow these principles as the basis for post-storm planning: our communities need immediate relief; equitable investment; transparency and accountability in the reconstruction process; and participation, inclusion and decision-making for our communities.
