Jenille Scott (she/her) is the Climate Director for ALIGN, leading the green team and overseeing climate justice coalitions, renewable energy initiatives, and policy campaigns. Born and raised in Jamaica, Jenille is passionate about raising awareness of the global impact of climate change on Black and Brown communities and advocating for climate policies rooted in Just Transition. Prior to ALIGN, Jenille worked as the Popular Education Manager with The Chisholm Legacy Project developing environmental and climate justice curriculum grounded in Black Liberation and Just Transition and supported daily operations for WeSolar Inc, the first Black owned community solar company in the United States. She also served as the New York Field Organizer with Our Climate, supporting youth leaders in advocating for equitable, science-based policies across New York and supporting the organizing efforts of the NY Renews coalition. Jenille holds a B.A. in Biology from Bryn Mawr College and an M.A. with Distinction in Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School.
