Theodore Moore (he/him) is the Executive Director of ALIGN, a nonprofit coalition-building organization that brings together labor and community to fight for safe work, fair wages, climate justice, and corporate accountability. During his tenure at ALIGN, the organization has celebrated many wins including the Warehouse Worker Injury Reduction Act, delivering safety protections for Amazon workers statewide, and NYC’s Public Solar Law, requiring solar installation on City-owned buildings. In the last year, ALIGN has launched campaigns for Green, Healthy Schools ensuring clean air and healthy learning environments in NYC public schools, and most recently, to raise New York City’s minimum wage to $30 by 2030. Moore sets the organization’s strategic vision for worker power and climate justice, leads engagement with campaigns and movement partners, and supervises a team of 10 staff members.

Moore has more than 20 years of movement and political advocacy experience with organizations like the New York Immigration Coalition, NYC Council, Restaurant Opportunities Center United, and the Working Families Party, and was among the original staff of ALIGN in 2012. Theo is also a founding member of New Kings Democrats, serves as a board member of the Riders Alliance, and was appointed to Mayor Mamdani’s Worker Justice Transition Committee as well as his Commission on Government Efficiency.
